Reading and English Language Arts 7 focuses on the communication arts and skills through Philippine Literature. The subject is taught for one hour for four days with one point of 5-unit credit. RELA 7 seeks to develop and address the communication needs of Filipino learners of English. The main focus of the literature is Philippine History and culture as depicted in the writings of Filipino authors. The communicative-interactive collaborative approach is adapted to teaching language forms and the four macros’ skills such as reading, listening, speaking, and writing to make learners aware of and be able to cope with this global society.
